The management of An-Nawawi Islamic Boarding School (IBS)- held an audience with the Regent of Bantaeng at the Regent's Office on January 14, 2026. The visit was led directly by the Chairman of the An-Nawawi IBS Foundation, Dr. Abudzar Al Qifari, S.Pd.I., M.Pd.I.
The meeting was held in a warm atmosphere, aimed at strengthening the relationship between religious leaders (ulama) and government officials (umara). During the session, Dr. Abudzar shared the rapid development of the pesantren, including the achievement of the Integrated Islamic Junior High School (SMP IT) which is now Accredited A, as well as plans to open a Senior High School level (Madrasah Aliyah) for the upcoming academic year.

In response, the Regent of Bantaeng expressed his appreciation and committed to attending the major upcoming event of An-Nawawi IBS at the start of the 2026-2027 Academic Year.
"Alhamdulillah, the Regent has agreed to personally officiate the opening of the Madrasah Aliyah, the launch of the official boarding school website, the handover of the Operational Permit, and the inauguration of the SMP IT for achieving its Grade A Accreditation," said Dr. Abudzar following the audience.
Furthermore, the Bantaeng Regency Government reaffirmed its commitment to fully supporting the educational goals of An-Nawawi IBS in cultivating a generation of character and knowledge. As a tangible form of support, the Regent also expressed his intention to provide facility assistance to bolster educational activities at the institution.
This synergy between the local government and educational institutions is expected to elevate the quality of Islamic education throughout the Bantaeng Regency.
